Android Bootcamp 2014 Recap

The inaugural Android Bootcamp 2014 was held in Yangon over September 27 & 28, with more than 50 people attending the bootcamp so as to learn to develop Android applications from scratch. Organized and supported by ideabox Myanmar and Yangon Developer Group, the course was based on a similar Android development program on Udacity: “How to develop Android Apps”.

Winner of ideabox App Competition in myanmar

The winners of ideabox App Competition were announced on our Facebook page yesterday. With a total of 29 submissions from the student and open categories, this was the first Android app development competition organised by ideabox Myanmar. We’d assembled an international team of judges, comprising Phil Morle from Pollenizer, Andy Zain of Mountain Partners SEA, Marco Stutz from Mountain Partners, Chang Sau Sheong from PayPal (Singapore) and James Chan of Silicon Straits. In a letter penned to all contestants, the judging committee congratulated all participants for their efforts.

It was a tough choice to make, but eventually they decided on the three winners in each category as the winners of the first App Competition.
